Sebastian Banfield is currently a PhD student in the Cavendish Laboratory, Department of Physics at the University of Cambridge. He is supervised by Dr Ibrahim Dar, as a member of the Dar Group and the wider Optoelectronics Group. His research focuses on understanding local polarisation phenomena in perovskite semiconductors. Prior to joining the Cavendish, Sebastian received his MPhys degree in Physics from the University of Oxford in 2025.
